These ports are blacklisted
411 to 413 (standard DirectConnect ports)
6881 to 6889 (these are the standard BitTorrent ports)
1214 (standard Kazaa port)
6346 to 6347 (standard gnutella port)
4662 (standard eMule port)
6699 (standard winmx port)
If your client are using the blacklisted ports you will have to:
1) Figure out a new port range that you want to use for BitTorrent. (I chose 5800-5900)
2) Go to your clients port settings and type in a new port range.
3) Open those ports in your firewall/NAT (go hear for more info
http://asiandvdclub.org/forums.php?action=viewtopic&topicid=5361 )
And you are done
I hope people with different clients can type or maybe post screenshots on how to do it in that specific client. I can only show uTorrent and BitTornado:
In uTorrent
Click on Options
Click on Preferences...
In the bar to the left, click on Network Options
And there you have it "Port used for incomming connections", change it to whatever port you have chosen. Restart uTorrent.
In BitTornado
Click on "prefs"
Change your ports.
Restart BitTornado
In Azureus
Go to Tools on the main menu
Click Options
Then in the window that opens click Connections and on the right hand side enter a number in the "Incoming TCP Listen Port" Entry field as in this screen:
If you want to test to make sure your port is configured correctly you can then:
Go to Tools
Click NAT/Firewall test
In the window that opens make sure that the number in the "Incoming TCP Listen Port" field matches what you entered previously.
Click Test.
If after the test it says it's ok then you are finished. Otherwise you can test a different port, or configure your router so that this port will work properly.
If anybody wants to, please describe how to change the ports in the client you are using.
